Photocopies of four brief ts memoirs, written between the 1990s and 2003, covering his service as a Chaplain to the Forces in the Burma campaign in 1944 - 1945: the first (2pp) describing how, when he was serving at HQ 82nd (West African) Division in December 1944, he recovered and buried the Indian pilot of a Hurricane shot down during the second Arakan campaign who had subsequently to be disinterred and cremated; the second (6pp) recording his good fortune when he almost got lost in the Arakan jungle when trying to return to the regimental aid post of a unit in the 82nd (West African) Division in March 1945; and the third (3pp) and fourth (2pp) relating the ill-treatment of the Burmese Archdeacon of Toungoo by the Japanese at the outset of their occupation of Burma, their later acceptance of Christian services, the reconstruction of the Anglican church in Toungoo by troops of the 19th Indian Division, of which Ettrick was then the Senior Chaplain, after the war, and his pastoral work in and around Toungoo.
