Ts transcription (26pp) of his diary recording his service in the ranks of the Territorial Army on the Western Front and in the UK, January 1915 - September 1915, including: proceeding overseas, January 1915; training at No 1 Territorial Base Depot, Rouen, January 1915; active service with the 1st Battalion London Rifle Brigade (11th Brigade, 4th Division) in Flanders, February 1915 - April 1915, notably recovering from influenza at the Field Ambulance (March 1915) and taking part in the Second Battle of Ypres (April 1915) where he was wounded; his evacuation to and recovery at No 1 Stationary Hospital, Rouen, April 1915 - May 1915; his evacuation by hospital barge down the Seine from Rouen to Le Havre and then by ship to Southampton, May 1915; convalescence at the Cambridge Hospital in Aldershot, May 1915; his return to duty with the 3rd Battalion LRB at Tadworth Camp, June 1915 - September 1915; and mentioning the rations; Army life; the conditions; his off-duty entertainment; musketry and other training; life in the trenches; fatigues; patrols into No Man's Land; and the treatment of his wounds.
