Memoir (228pp ts), written in the 1980s, covering his early years in Poland (1916 - 1936), training with the Polish Air Force and posting to 162 Squadron (Third Fighter Wing, Sixth Air Force Regiment) at Lwow in June 1939, their mobilisation and move to Widzew to support the Lodz Army in September 1939, his escape to Rumania and then France during September - October 1939, evacuation to the United Kingdom in June 1940 and training at the Polish Air Force base at Blackpool before serving with 307 Squadron at RAF Kirton-in-Lindsey (September - October 1940), flying Hurricanes with 303 Squadron at RAF Leconfield (October 1940 - January 1941) and Spitfires with 315 Squadron at RAF Acklington, RAF Speke, RAF Woodvale and RAF Northolt (January 1941 - February 1943), command of 308 Squadron and then of 317 Squadron at RAF Martlesham Heath, RAF Heston, RAF Fairlop and RAF Perranporth (May 1943 - January 1944) subsequent service as Liaison Officer with HQ 11 Group, Uxbridge and 9 Group, Preston (January - May 1944), attending the Polish Air Force Staff College at Weston-super-Mare (May - November 1944), acting as Polish Liaison Officer with HQ 84 Group, 2nd TAF, in s'Hertogenbosch, Holland, and Celle, Germany (November 1944 - November 1945), with No 3 Polish Personnel Holding Unit, RAF Newton, near Nottingham (November 1945 - December 1946) and the Polish Resettlement Corps at Framlingham, Suffolk (December 1946 - December 1948) before rejoining the RAF in 1951 and serving as a catering officer until 1958; also included is a list (9pp) of graduates of the Polish Air Force College, Deblin, 1936 - 1939.
