Bound ts memoir (59pp) covering briefly a prewar visit to Germany where she saw Hitler and her part time youth work in London as well as more fully her wartime employment: in the registry section of MI5 in Wormwood Scrubs prison, then in Blenheim Palace, 1940 - (?) 1941, as a secretary with SOE in London (?) 1941 - 1942, Cairo, 1942 - 1943, and Bari, Italy, 1943 - 1945 where eventually she was transferred to work for the Balkan Air Force with details of her lively social life, the SOE personalities whom she met and a six week stint nursing Yugoslav partisans in Gruma hospital south of Bari in addition to which she chronicles the military career of her husband, Major General V W Street, whom she met and married in Italy, covering his service as a staff officer with 14th Infantry Brigade in Palestine, 1938 - 1940, with 8th Infantry Division in Egypt, 1940 - 1941, on secondment to Greece, March 1941, at GHQ Cairo, 1941 - 1942, with the SAS in the Western Desert, 1942, including details of his capture, imprisonment and subsequent escape from a torpedoed Italian submarine, with the 7th Battalion, Rifle Brigade, as second in command in North Africa, 1943, and Italy, 1944 - 1945, and with SOE in Yugoslavia, September 1943 - October 1944; also 3 ms letters (1943 - 1944) from SOE friends, Patrick Leigh Fermor and Sandy Rendel, on Crete and in Bosnia and various ts verses (6pp) mainly about SOE and office life.
