Photocopies of papers relating to his experiences during the Second World War, comprising: account (4pp ts) of an incident which occurred while he was in command of High Speed Launch 143 in May 1941, resulting in the craft coming under attack from German Me 109 fighter aircraft off Boulogne and his capture after much carnage; a second account (4pp ts) of the same incident with other (somewhat melodramatic) details added; a description (3pp ts) of his experiences of the evacuation of Allied POWs from Stalag Luft III (Sagan) to Stalag IIIA (Luckenwalde) in February 1945; an interrogation report (2pp ts), co-written by him at Luckenwalde in May 1945, detailing the experiences of some Polish girls as prisoners at Auschwitz concentration camp and subsequently as munitions workers in Germany, providing information on atrocities and ill-treatment; and an undated letter (2pp ts) written by a Captain in 113th LAA Regiment RA from the liberated Belsen concentration camp, briefly describing conditions there.
