Records relating to his internment in Changi Gaol and Sime Road camps in Singapore, March 1942 - August 1945, and in particular to his appointment as the physician in the camp hospitals including an important ts medical report (3pp), circa September 1945, on the male internees who were arrested by the Kempeitai following the 'Double Tenth' raid on Changi Gaol, a ts history (5pp) of the camp hospitals during the period of internment, ts notes (5pp) on vitamin deficiency diseases treated in the hospital and accompanying ts statistical tables, ms diary (26pp) for September - October 1945 commenting on his discussions with other medical officers in Singapore about medical aspects of internment and describing his repatriation in the troopship TEGELBERG, an interesting ms letter (2pp) dated January 1946 from Sir Shenton Thomas about his time in Japanese hands, an undated ts memoir (6pp) by Pallister of his internment, an offprint of his article on 'Oedema in an Internment Camp' (1947), one or two official documents given to him as an internee and during his repatriation and other miscellaneous correspondence, circa 1946 - 1987, with former fellow internees, archivists and historians.
