Nominal Rolls of Royal Marines Prisoners of War in the Far East from HMS PRINCE OF WALES and HMS REPULSE

Ms and ts nominal rolls (5 folios) giving details of Royal Marines officers and ratings from the battleship HMS PRINCE OF WALES and the battle cruiser HMS REPULSE who had become prisoners of war in the Far East, one roll showing the exact camps along the Burma-Siam railway in which some of the ratings were held in August 1944, others identifying ratings who had died in captivity and showing the date, place and cause of death and others briefly noting information about ratings missing since they were taken prisoner. The lists were compiled and kept by CSM W R A Thomas from HMS PRINCE OF WALES.
