Small collection of items relating to the First World War service of George Joseph Williams in the Scots Guards, including a Certificate of Transfer to Reserve on demobilisation (3 February 1919), ts letter (2pp) from George V addressed directly to Officers, Non-Commissioned Officers and men of the Guards Division, thanking them for their services and drawing attention to particular First World War battles in which the Division took a prominent part (22 March 1919), ts letter (2pp) from George V to Officers, Non-Commissioned Officers and men of the Scots Guards, commending them on their history of a `priceless and magnificent service' since 1710 (2 July 1921), programme to a reunion dinner of the Scots Guards Association, Aberdeen Branch (11 October 1935), together with a notice to Naval and Marine pensioners to join the Royal Navy (B.107), sent to G J Williams to join the Special Reserve of the Royal Marine Police (24 July 1940).
