Ms memoir (15pp, August 1966) describing his enlistment and service in the ranks of the 2nd Battalion the Buffs (East Kent) Regiment, August 1926 - August 1928, prior to attending the Royal Military College, Sandhurst as a Y Cadet, ms notebook (119pp) containing notes on various administrative subjects such as troop movements, operation orders and unit organisation made while attending the first course held at the Middle East Staff School at Haifa in 1940 when Staff Captain at HQ 14th Infantry Brigade in Palestine, ms transcription (6pp) of contemporary notes describing the proceedings of the International Military Tribunal in Nuremberg which he observed on 19 July 1946 together with photocopies of the seating plan of the accused and annotated comments on them, photocopies of an article from EMPIRE NEWS (24 June 1951) refuting allegations of atrocities allegedly committed by British soldiers against the Koreans quoting him as commanding officer of the 1st Battalion Middlesex Regiment (27th Infantry Brigade), correspondence (13pp) with Max Hastings (November 1987) concerning the latter's book THE KOREAN WAR (1987) including comments on the misrepresentation of the 1st Middlesex and the 27th Brigade and the high standard of the National Servicemen who served in Korea with an additional memo (6pp, February 1993) reiterating his objections and an extract (2pp) from a letter to the National Army Museum (February 1989) about their publication PROJECT KOREA with suggested amendments (3pp) and further details about the service of the 27th Brigade (7pp), and ms notes describing help given to his men in Germany, Korea and the UK by the WVS (6pp, 1996) and other aspects of his experiences during his army service (10pp, 1977)
