Ms diaries, 1920 - 1921, 1925, 1939 - 1954, containing brief entries, which are mainly descriptions of his social life, two scrap albums containing photographs relating to his service as a Lieutenant Colonel in the RAMC during operations in Kurdistan, 1925 - 1926, and 432 ms letters written to his wife while he was Acting Medical Superintendent of the P & O Line, Bombay, 1948 - 1949, Surgeon to the British India Steam Navigation Co, 1949 - 1953, and to the Clan Lines, 1953 - 1956, during cruises to the Far East; together with a ts review (6pp) of a history of the Iraq Levies, a ts article (5pp) on an engagement at Shahur Tungi in Waziristan in April 1937, a ts diary, 1 January - 11 February 1940, describing the departure of the 16th Brigade Group of the Australian Army from Sydney written while he was serving as Ship's Surgeon on HMT STRATHNAVER, a good ms letter (8pp) from his wife during the Munich crisis, September 1938, and 3 ms letters written by his son, Lieutenant Colonel R E S Skelton, in April 1940 describing the arrival of his Squadron in France (he was a Captain in the Royal Tank Regiment attached to the RAF with the rank of Wing Commander).
