Ms journal (39pp) kept by a member of the Women's Land Army January 1944 - December 1945 (with non contemporary alterations and marginalia) recording her farming activities on the Surrey/Sussex border, her daily routine and off duty recreation with good references to D Day, V Weapons, VE and VJ Days and the use of German POW labour; also 2 ts memoirs (4pp and 6pp) in which she recalls general conditions and her agricultural work whilst based at Waterperry (Bellair) Horticultural Centre near Wheatley, Oxford in Autumn 1942, and at a nurses' convalescent home near Haslemere, Surrey in 1944 together with a photocopied printed article (3pp) by her on land work as a vocation and 14 official and printed documents relating to the WLA, 3 items relating to her father Captain F E Byrne RN, and 3 items on the Overseas League 1950 - 1951 including a description of a meeting at the IWM.
