A Pilot's Flying Log Book (RAF Form 414, 194pp) recording with some later annotations his flying career and combat successes with the RAF, March 1937 - July 1943, including: flying training with the Reserve Training School (Phillips & Powis Aircraft Ltd), March - May 1937; No 2 FTS, June - November 1937; No 7 FTS, February - May 1938; No 5 ATS, June - October 1938; No 2 AOS, November 1938 - March 1939; and active service flying Hurricanes with No 1 (Fighter) Squadron, RAF Tangmere (Sussex) and France, March 1939 - June 1940, including shooting down a ME 109, the first of eleven victories, in March 1940; No 55 OTU, June 1940 - March 1941; flying the Spitfire and Typhoon with No 609 Squadron, RAF Biggin Hill, Kent, April - August 1941, and OC No 74 Squadron, RAF Acklington, Northumberland, and Llanbedr, Wales, August - November 1941; HQ, Fighter Command, Bentley Priory (Stanmore Park, Middlesex), December 1941 - May 1942; OC No 609 Squadron, RAF Duxford, Cambridgeshire, and RAF Biggin Hill, Kent, June - October 1942; OC No 165 Wing, Comilla, India, May - July 1943. Also included is part of the ms manuscript (83pp) of his classic wartime memoir "Fighter Pilot", describing his experiences while serving with No 1 Squadron RAF in France, May - June 1940; 5 citations for the Distinguished Flying Cross DFC and Bar (November 1940 and August 1941), la Croix de Guerre Belge (November 1941), l'Ordre de l'Armee de l'Air (February 1943), and Order of the Crown (Belgium, May 1949); 5 photographs of Richey, c. 1940 - 1950; photocopies of documents (16pp) relating to his flying career, including his obituaries in 'The Times' and 'The Daily Telegraph', February - March 1989; and a Certificate (1p) for the Bronze Medal of the Royal Humane Society, March 1960, for saving a life from drowning.
