Photocopy of an interesting ms diary (143pp) covering her service as a VAD in France and Russia, 1914 - 1919, including her posts at Red Cross and military hospitals in Wimereux, Boulogne (November 1914 - April 1916), at a Red Cross hospital in Petrograd during the Russian Revolution (September 1916 - March 1917), at an officers' hospital in Ongar, Essex (July 1917), at WAAC camps at Wimereux and Etaples (February - June 1918), and as VAD area controller at Le Havre and on the motor VAD unit from Trouville (June 1918 - May 1919), and containing interesting and well-observed entries on nursing in France and on the revolution in Russia, supplemented by photocopies of 49 ms letters (147pp) to her mother and sister, November 1914 - June 1918, including ts transcriptions (64pp) of these and other letters which have not survived, November 1914 - January 1919. Also held with the collection are a small number of original items which include service papers, invitations, passports and newspaper cuttings.
