176 ms letters (378pp) to his parents as a schoolboy (June 1940 - March 1944) evacuated privately to Canada with Byron House School (a private co-educational school in Highgate, North London) including a postcard written from the ship DUCHESS OF ATHOLL during their Atlantic crossing (June - July 1940) and details of the Canadian family he was boarded upon with his sister, of school and various clubs to which he belonged, of his attendance at summer camp, the beginning of rationing in Canada (1942), and of food shortages, together with two letters to his parents from a schoolmaster discussing Anthony's future education in England and the state of education in Canada (1943) and a telegram notifying his parents of his imminent return to England (1944).
