Six pocket diaries (1940 - 1945) containing brief ms entries reporting enemy air activity over Great Britain (often in the 'staccato' style of newspaper headlines), sometimes listing the time at which the raids occurred and occasionally making special reference to Croydon, where she was living, together with 13 ms letters (32pp) and 11 field post cards sent to her (October 1915 - July 1918) by young soldiers serving on the Western Front who had received parcels from her, including some references to conditions in the trenches, 2 ts copies of letters notifying her husband of the death of Private J Anderson (relationship uncertain) while serving in 2/4th Battalion (Royal Fusiliers) London Regiment (173rd Brigade, 58th Division) in France, March 1917, official forms and correspondence concerning her contributions to various appeals and her work with the Queen Mary's Needlework Guild (October 1914 - December 1917) and a selection of postcards and Christmas cards from France
