Photocopies of two undated ts drafts (5pp and 4pp) in which he describes how during the successful escape which he and two fellow officers made from the prisoner of war camp at Warburg (Oflag VIB) in Germany in September 1942, one of his companions lost his spoon, a vital piece of equipment, and the chain of circumstances which led to the chance discovery of a replacement one. Akrwright, a regular officer in the Royal Scots Fusiliers, did not record this incident in his published account of his escape `Return Journey' (London: Seeley Service & Co, 1948).
