3 interesting and entertaining ms letters to her mother describing: her detailed observation from central London on the night of 2 - 3 September 1916 of the air raid by the Zeppelin L21 and its destruction over Cuffley by Lieutenant W Leefe Robinson, for which he was awarded the VC, together with a brief account of a visit to the scene of the wreckage on the following day (3pp, 4 September 1916); her successful application to become a translator at the War Office including in Matabele and Zulu, using her corresponding knowledge of German to translate German intelligence signals written in German Zulu (4pp, no date, ?c. 1915); and her work writing subversive aerial propaganda leaflets to be dropped over Hanover and Schleswig-Holstein (2pp, no date, ?c. 1918).
