3 ts accounts (total 15pp) covering her life during the Second World War, principally as a member of the Women's Land Army in Worcestershire, 1940 - 1946, with useful descriptions of her living and working conditions and of her courtship and marriage to a US Army medic, and interesting details also of the experiences of other members of her Anglo-Chinese family during the war period with specific reference to her brother David, who was torpedoed in the HMT LACONIA (September 1942) while serving in the Merchant Navy, but who thanks to humane treatment by the U-boat commander responsible survived to be interned by the Vichy French in North Africa; also 32 mainly contemporary wartime prints (including one of the survivors of the LACONIA) and miscellaneous documents relating to the WLA and the Aid to Russia Fund (including 3 duplicated letters of thanks from Mrs Churchill).
