Photocopy (202pp) of ts memoir written in 1945 of his service as a wireless operator in C Squadron, 4th/7th Royal Dragoon Guards, (8th Armoured Brigade), June 1944 - May 1945, in which he describes the preparation for the invasion of France and D-Day itself, followed by the fighting through the Normandy bocage, through Belgium, into the Netherlands and Operation MARKET GARDEN, and finally in Germany up to VE Day, talks of his living conditions, and his duties, and gives a good picture of the life of a member of a tank crew in action.
