Ts transcriptions (13pp) of 7 letters, February - July 1918, describing his service as the Church of England Chaplain to the Forces attached to the 6th Battalion Northamptonshire Regiment (54th Brigade, 18th Division) during the German Spring Offensive (March - April 1918) mainly concerned with collecting food for his men and helping with the evacuation of the wounded, for which he was awarded the MC, but also containing references to their initial occupation of the old German line in February 1918 with reports of the previously poor treatment of the local population by the Germans, his pride in the character of his men, the heavy casualties that resulted from the offensive and a successful deer hunt.
