1) Rt Hon Lord Melchett: Correspondence and newspaper cuttings. Topics covered include: donation of a Piat Projector, termination of time as Trustee, attendance and minutes of Board Meetings, acquisition of copy of Lord McGowan's speech, advice from Captain Crookshank on obtaining objects during the Second World War, bidding for more government funding, selection of war films and artists, whether or not to extend remit of Museum, evacuation of paintings to Lord Melchett's house. Also contains sale catalogues from Coleworth House in Bedfordshire in 1947.
