About Flying Days at IWM Duxford

Tickets include entry to our museum, hangars and exhibitions, special activities, plus a special themed aerial display providing an afternoon of over an hour of scheduled flying. 

Although all flying is subject to weather and serviceability on the day, Flying Days provide a great day out at IWM Duxford, whatever the weather may bring.

Tickets are advance booking only

  • All bookings are powered by See tickets. No booking fees apply.
  • Your ticket price includes the flying display and entry to IWM Duxford.
  • Children must be accompanied by an adult.

IWM members

  • IWM members go free but tickets must be pre-booked in advance.
  • One free adult member ticket is valid per membership card.
  • * For 1 Adult Family and 2 Adult Family IWM members, up to 6 children go free with a valid membership card.

  • IWM members receive 10% off of merchandise.

  • East Anglian Regiment museum entrance

    Royal Anglian Regiment Museum

    Showcasing equipment used during the war from uniforms to foods that were rationed and fun activities for all ages.

  • Visitors on DAS Tank ride at Duxford Air Shows

    Duxford Aviation Society: Military Vehicle Wing

    Take a ride in a Duxford Aviation Society military vehicle from 11am – 1pm. 

    £10 per head and a minimum height restriction of 4’ 2” (1.27m) applies.

    Weather and volunteer driver dependent.

  • Visitors entering a DAS Airliner

    Duxford Aviation Society: The British Airliner Collection

    Climb aboard our commercial airliners from 10am to 4pm. 

    Child £3, Adult £6, Family (2 adults and up to 3 children) £12.

    A Boarding pass covers all airliners except the Queens Flight BAe146.

    Tickets for the Queens Flight BAe 146 are £3 per person. 

    Only limited spaces and time slots available.

    You can also meet with Duxford Aviation Society volunteers and visit the society shop.

    Duxford Aviation Society: Concorde Nose Droop

    Join Duxford Aviation Society volunteers for a special live demonstration to showcase the droop of the famous Concorde nose. 

    Activity takes place at 12 noon in Airspace.

    Concorde opening times: 10am to 4pm.

  • RAF Boulmer, 19 Squadron Engagement Team

    Serving personnel from 19 Squadron, RAF Boulmer, will be on hand to present the past and present day workings of this famous squadron. Including various pieces of military kit in use today.

Explore IWM Duxford as part of your ticket price - the historic airfield that played a central role in some of the most dramatic days in 20th century history - serving as a base for many of the Spitfire and Hurricane pilots during the Second World War. 

Inside every hangar and exhibition - and outside them too - there are hundreds of large aircraft, vehicles, boats and more. Walk around them, inside them, above and below them and get the chance to see aircraft take off from our historic runway.

Travelling to Flying Days

  • IWM Duxford is just south of Cambridge at Junction 10 of the M11 motorway, less than 50 miles from central London and approximately 40 minutes from the M25 (Junction 27). Via the M11, IWM Duxford is easily accessible from the A1, A14, M1 and the North.
  • Parking permits are not required for this event. 
  • Shuttle buses from Cambridge train station do not run on Flying Days.
