Duxford Battle of Britain Air Show 2021 dates

Step back in time for an event to remember.

At the airfield that made history, immerse yourself in summer 1940. When the Spitfire ruled the skies and the ‘Few’ brought hope to the British Isles.

Step into Duxford’s remarkable past as the roar of Merlin engines fills the air above this important RAF fighter station, famous for defending Great Britain during the Second World War.

Enjoy all the action in the skies and on the ground as the museum, hangars, airfield, and showground transform for the weekend with living history, 1940s music and dance, entertainment, and activities.

Tickets and Prices

Bookings are now closed. Please do not travel without a pre-booked ticket. 

Tickets are not available online or on the gate on the day of the event.

Free shuttle buses for ticket holders will run from Royston Station, Cambridge Station and Trumpington Park & Ride.

Duxford Battle of Britain Air Show is presented by IWM Duxford, the former RAF site that played a central role in some of the most dramatic days in 20th century history - serving as a base for many of the Spitfire and Hurricane pilots during the Second World War.

Britain’s Finest Hour

The Battle of Britain took place from 10 July - 31 October 1940.  RAF Duxford was a Sector Station during the Battle of Britain, responsible for directing squadrons into battle. It was also home to the ‘Big Wing’ led by Squadron Leader Douglas Bader.
