Why has the decision been taken to cancel the Battle of Britain Proms and 80th Anniversary Battle of Britain Air Show?
It is with great sadness that we have taken the decision to cancel the Duxford Battle of Britain Proms and 80th Anniversary Duxford Battle of Britain Air Show 2020. Having explored avenues with Public Health England and South Cambridgeshire District Council in recent days, we have had to make this devastating decision in the interest of safety for visitors, staff and the local community.
We are very sorry for the disruption this cancellation will cause and are extremely grateful for all the support that has been shown to us so far.
What are my options with regards to my tickets?
We will contact ticket holders with details of what options are available. These will include donating the value of your ticket to IWM, requesting a refund or considering IWM membership opportunities.
Will it be possible to obtain a refund for my tickets?
Yes, you will be able to request a refund for your tickets and you will be notified as to how to do this in the coming days.
What should I do if I still wish to come to IWM Duxford between 18-20 September?
Following the cancellation of the Duxford Battle of Britain Proms and 80th Anniversary Air Show this weekend (Friday 18 – Sunday 20 September), we are thrilled to hear that many of you are still looking to visit IWM Duxford over these days.
Please be aware that we have a limitation on visitor numbers to ensure social distancing on site so you will be required to pre-book tickets for this weekend separately via our website. You will not be able to gain entry to the site using your ticket to the Proms or Air Show and you will receive an email this week detailing the options available to you with regards to your air show tickets.
How can I support IWM?
Like other museums across the country, IWM is under significant financial pressure due to the coronavirus pandemic and cancelling the Duxford Battle of Britain Proms and 80th Anniversary Battle of Britain Air Show has come at a huge cost to the organisation. If you would like to support us during this unpredictable time you can choose to donate the cost of your ticket to IWM or consider becoming an IWM member with access to a host of benefits, including free entry to all sites.
My card has expired – how do I get my refund?
Unfortunately, we can't issue a refund to any new cards you might have. Due to banking regulations a refund of a payment must be sent to the card from which the payment originated, this is to make sure that the refund goes to the right place. If you have a replacement card for the same account the refund will go into your account automatically.
If your account is closed or you've had a replacement card and the refund still isn't appearing in your account after 15 days, please contact your card issuer. They'll be holding the funds for you and will be able to arrange a transfer to your new account. Unfortunately, we can't reclaim the money and issue the refund to a new card for you.
How can I find out about IWM Duxford’s Air Show 2021 season?
We are looking forward to delivering a packed Air Show programme next year and will release details of this on our website in due course. To be the first to know when tickets go on sale, please join our enews.
