- Description
- An upright polished black granite stone on a three-stepped base. The front face has the RAF Police insignia engraved below the name of the Unit in gold lettering. On the top step of the base the Unit's motto is inscribed in English : "Let justice be done". On the edges of the stone there are engravings of snowdrops, representing the nickname of the Unit (reflecting the white hats worn by the RAF Police). The memorial is placed at the centre of an area of block paving which is intersected with individual granite memorials stones for past members. These are being added by subscription and blessed annually at a ceremony. There are commemorative benches alongside the memorial.
