Learning Sessions

We will be piloting a small number of new learning sessions from April - July 2017 across our branches. If you'd like your class to help shape our future sessions during this time, please contact learning@iwm.org.uk to register your interest and we’ll be in touch with more information. Subject to availability.

We will be opening bookings for new sessions in July 2017.

Teacher evenings

As part of creating our new programme, we'd like to hear your thoughts on what you’d like to see for schools at IWM. If you'd like to register your interest in an evening of drinks and conversation about learning at your local IWM, please contact learning@iwm.org.uk and we'll be in touch with more information. Subject to availability.

Online resources

We have a new range of online resources for you to use in school, including new STEM resource for key stage 3 & 4. These resources can be used separately or as an addition to your visit to IWM London.

    • Working With Eyewitnesses. Students have the opportunity to meet a Second World War eyewitness who can answer students' questions and share their memories of evacuation and life on the home front.
  • Learning in the Galleries. Through discussion and reflection students will prepare to visit The Holocaust Exhibition. Students are also given an audio guide to navigate their way through a chronological narrative of the Holocaust and deepen their understanding of events in Nazi-occupied Europe and beyond.

  • A visit to IWM London supports studies of war and conflict from 1914 until the present day.
