Americans at Duxford

Sightseeing and Pleasure Flying

Take to the skies in one of a number of original vintage aircraft.

Choose from sightseeing flights over Duxford, Cambridge, Ely, Newmarket or London in the Dragon Rapide, an elegant eight-seater biplane, an early commercial aircraft from the golden age of 1930s air travel.

Take an exciting trip in the two-seater Tiger Moth. Enjoy a trial flying lesson and take the controls of this unique aircraft yourself! Don your leather jacket, goggles and flying helmet and be Biggles for the day.

Enjoy a rare opportunity to fly wing-to-wing with the legendary Spitfire. You will be able to experience breathtaking views of this iconic aircraft as you fly alongside it in the 1930s Dragon Rapide.

There are also other thrilling flying experiences to choose from including a flying lesson in classic 1970s training aircraft, the Cessna 152, or a flight in Second World War warbird, the American T6 Harvard.

From March until October, visitors to IWM Duxford can take a short local pleasure flight in the Dragon Rapide. There is no need to pre-book for this flight as it can be arranged on the day of your visit. Booking is required for all other flying experiences.
