GENERAL ADVICE

  • Please do not make any travel arrangements until you have received your reservation letter.
  • All enquiries and visit requests are dealt with in the order in which they are received.
  • If you would like to bring groups on more than one day please tell us how many groups, the numbers of people per day and your preferred dates on the form.

GENERAL TERMS

  • Interpretation
    1. Unless the context otherwise states or requires: (i) the capitalised terms defined shall have the meanings set out below except where specifically stated to the contrary:
      • Admission - means an entitlement that allows Visitors to visit the specified venue on a specified date, issued by us in accordance with these terms. Any Admission includes any applicable VAT at the standard rate;
      • Admission Date - means the date on which an Admission is valid for entry to a venue;
      • Group(s) - means a group of individuals consisting of a minimum of fifteen (15) paying Visitors;
      • Timeslot - means a fixed time during the day which a Visitor or Group may pre-book for an agreed time of arrival at the relevant Venue;
      • Visitor(s) - means any holder(s) of a valid Admission.
         
  • Admissions to the venue for Groups may be pre-booked during available Timeslots.  However, Timeslots may not be available during peak periods and remain always “subject to availability”.
  • You must apply for Admissions for Groups at least seven (7) days in advance of the Admission Date and such Admissions are subject to availability. You must apply for Admissions for Groups in the Groups and Schools section. For pre-bookings, each application must specify the number of individuals and the Admission Date. For parties of up to fourteen (14) people, you do not need to pre-book Admissions to the venue using this method but may do so via HMS Belfast.
  • We will provide you with written or an email confirmation of the Admissions released to you for any pre-booked groups including details of the number of people and the Admission Dates and times (if any) for which the Admissions are valid.  
  • Any guides or couriers will constitute part of the Group and must therefore be included within your application for Admissions and paid for as any other member of the Group. Any other persons, associated with Groups or Visitors, including coach drivers, shall not benefit from free admission to the venue.
  • For the avoidance of doubt, parties which consist of fewer than fifteen (15) paying Visitors are not Groups, and therefore are not permitted to pre-book using this method but may do so via the HMS Belfast homepage.
  • If the size of a party reduces so that it no longer meets the requirements of a Group, you must immediately inform us and the pre-booking will be cancelled. If you fail to do this you will be charged for the full party size of the booking.
  • IWM reserves the right to refuse requests to pre-book certain Timeslots or withdraw the availability of Timeslots at our absolute discretion.
  • Group bookings must be paid for in full twenty-one (21) days prior to the Admission Date or at the time of booking, if booking takes place less than twenty-one (21) days prior to the Admission Date. Failure to do so will result in the immediate release of the booking.
  • Payments are non-refundable and non-transferable and must be made in advance by credit/debit card.

ADULT, MIXED-AGE, HE AND PROFESSIONAL GROUPS

  • Groups of fifteen people or more must reserve their visit in advance.

  • For any changes to a reservation, or general enquiries not answered on our website, please email [email protected].
  • Cancellations must be emailed to [email protected] or reply to your last email from us.

UK AND OVERSEAS SCHOOLS AND FE COLLEGES

  • School groups (with 5 – 18 year olds) are eligible for Group booking rates but need to book in advance
  • If you do not make an advance booking, then you will need to pay for your whole group at standard admission rates

YOUTH GROUPS
