A Child in Hiding from the Nazis

To mark Holocaust Memorial Day 2013, IWM has brought together archive film and sound testimony to tell the story of Adrien Sapcaru.

Adrien was a young Jewish boy living with his family in Belgium when the Nazis occupied the country in 1940. In 1942 Adrien was offered refuge by Carl de Brouwer and his family at their home near Ghent. View the video above to hear Adrien's story.
