Pigeons were used in both the First and Second World Wars to get urgent, life-saving messages through - they are the most decorated animals in wartime, getting more medals than any other species. Their bravery also inspired the animated Disney film Valiant, which will be on display in The Animals' War exhibition, along with the animation models used to make the film. Don't miss the full screening of Valiant in the Main Exhibition Space at 5.30pm on 11 August. |
