Every Christmas we'd sing 'I'll be Home for Christmas' and there was a - even now, even talking about it, I can feel nostalgia - I could almost cry just thinking about that song 'I'll be Home for Christmas' - another very important song was 'Don't Fence Me In': Bing Crosby's "Give me land, lots of land…don't fence me in" - and same with that one - they have very poignant, very strong memories, because in those songs you recall how you felt at the time. You're with a lot of other men but you felt sort of isolated and vulnerable and a long way from your families
