Every Christmas we'd sing 'I'll be Home for Christmas'
and there was a - even now, even talking about it, I can
feel nostalgia - I could almost cry just thinking about
that song 'I'll be Home for Christmas' - another
very important song was 'Don't Fence Me In': Bing
Crosby's "Give me land, lots of land…don't fence
me in" - and same with that one - they have very
poignant, very strong memories, because in those songs you
recall how you felt at the time. You're with a lot of other
men but you felt sort of isolated and vulnerable and a long
way from your families
