Weapons and Equipment from the Gallipoli CampaignIn 1915 many of the weapons in use by all the armies in the First World War were relatively primitive by comparison with those available during the later years of the conflict. At Gallipoli there was also a continuing need for the British, Dominion and French troops in particular to improvise weaponry and equipment because of the lack of resources provided to help them in the fighting.
