Battlefield Tour 1
Serre to Thiepval

This tour traces the trench lines on the first day of the Battle mainly north of the River Ancre, where the attacks foundered.

Visitors should be aware that most of the battlefields are now private property so please keep to footpaths.  Evidence of the Battle in the form of shells, grenades and bullets is still common.  These are still live and potentially dangerous and should not be touched.
