Imperial War Museum North is a charity and much of the work we do, from unique exhibitions to learning programmes with the local community, relies on the support of individuals, companies and trusts. IWM North is about people and the financial support we receive funds exhibition and learning programmes that benefit all our visitors. Since 2002 our unique Volunteer Programme has helped 150 people at risk of exclusion from the local community to build their self-esteem and confidence. Each year over 28,000 school children take part in learning sessions that help to bring the curriculum to life. Over 113,000 families take part in tours, workshops and learning events that explore the causes and consequences of war through art and drama. All of these exhibitions and activities are made possible by the generous support of our donors. IWM North seeks support from individuals, the business community and trusts and foundations.
