90 years on, the Battle of the Somme continues to be written about and studied.  Visitors to the battlefields are growing in number, but some myths about the Battle still endure.  This section provides an overview of the latest scholarship about the Battle, three suggested routes for touring the battlefield which link together the Personal Stories and a re-examination of some of the key misunderstandings.
