Korean War, casualty statistics
The total number of deaths in the Korean War will never be known, figures vary according to sources used.

National Service
The first National Service Acts were passed during the Second World War.  However, following the war, conscription was extended as peacetime National Service.

Westland Wasp
The Westland Wasp, the naval version of the British Army's Scout, was developed as a light anti-submarine helicopter for operations from small ships.

Westland Wessex
This helicopter was developed for naval purposes immediately after the Second World War and is today a vital naval weapon.
