Learning at the Imperial War Museum will show your pupils how war shapes lives.
Our school sessions are curriculum-mapped for History, Art, Citizenship, Science or Literacy. Experience life on board a Second World War battlecruiser, compare First World War poetry with soldiers' trench art or explore the science of flight in the shadow of Concorde. A visit to the Imperial War Museum can:
- Develop pupils' skills of historical enquiry
- Boost their understanding of cause and consequence, chronology and historical signifiance
- Explore interpretation using our unparalleled national collection
We have five branches across the UK. Three are in London: Imperial War Museum London, Churchill War Rooms, and HMS Belfast. Imperial War Museum Duxford is in Cambridgeshire and Imperial War Museum North is in Manchester.
Our learning programme evolves with the curriculum and our latest exhibitions and events. To be kept up to date, sign up to our Learning eNews.
