A few days later I received a summons to appear before the local CO tribunal which sat in Leeds by that time I had grown resigned to the ordeal, there was nothing more I could do to prepare for it and I was ready to accept without surprise whatever the decision might be. It was of course it was impossible to settle down to serious study at that time my mind was full of the events that lay ahead of me. I was surrounded by well wishers and even my fellow students, most of who didn’t share my views displayed views of sympathetic understanding and on no occasion was anyone unpleasant to me on account of the stand that I was making. |
