Description
Stone obelisk, on irregular stone base, piercing a square arched plinth and an inscribed stone ring. Plinth features bronze, inscribed plaque. Another inscribed, bronze plaque is at the base. Latin cross carved into top of obelisk.

(Ring:) THAT RIGHT MAY PREVAIL OVER MIGHT (Plaque:) TO THE GLORY OF GOD/AND TO THE SACRED MEMORY OF ALL THOSE/ WHOSE NAMES ARE INSCRIBED HEREON. THIS/ MEMORIAL IS ERECTED BY SUBSCRIPTION/ FROM THE PARISHIONERS OF WYKE REGIS/ IN REMEMBRANCE OF THOSE WHO/ANSWERED TO THE CALL OF THEIR KING/ AND COUNTRY AND GAVE THEIR LIVES/ IN THE GREAT WAR/ 1914 - 1919 Each of 4 plaques: [names, the 4th of which is Naval personnel]
