- Description
- Lady Altar of Gothic design of many different types of marble. Predella and front composed of Carrara marble, as is the altar table whilst the caps, bases and top are Blanc P. marble; the columns, under table and front of canopy and of Rouge Levante marble; the reredos panels are inlaid with yellow sienna marble. The status is statuary marble. Inscription in black lettering on the front of the altar.

- Wigton Advertiser 22 February 1919-St. Cuthbert's Entertainment. - On behalf of a fund for the erection in St. Cuthbert's Catholic Church, Wigton, of a War memorial to the members of the Church and former day school scholars who have fallen in the War, a highly successful variety entertainment was given in the Market Hall to crowded houses on Thursday and Friday nights of last week, and in order to meet the unprecedented demand for seats the programme was repeated on Saturday night.
