Description
Rectangular oak board, with ornately carved County crest top-centre, beneath which is the inscription re Morayshire Constabulary's WW1 casualties. Fixed to the bottom edge of that board is the small rectangular silver plaque commemorating the WW2 casualty from the Moray and Nairn Constabulary, by which name the Force was then known. (In 1930 Morayshire Constabulary amalgamated with the Nairnshire Constabulary, and adopted the name Moray and Nairn Constabulary. The Force retained that name until 1949, when it was merged into the Scottish North East Counties Constabulary, hence the different names of the Force in WW1 and WW2).
