Unveiling Ceremony. - THE EARL OF CAITHNESS ON BUCHAN'S PART IN WAR. The Earl of Caithness, Auchmacoy House, yesterday unveiled the Cruden war memorial in presence a large assembly of the parishioners, the church being crowded, those present including a large muster of ex-service men under Lieut. Youngson, The Schoolhouse, Longhaven. The scheme of the memorial, after some delay, has been carried on by a large and representative committee, with James Cruickshank, Port-Erroll. secretary. The design is by Mr Bennett Mitchell, architect, Aberdeen, and the work was executed by Messrs Bower and Florence, granite merchants, Aberdeen. The memorial takes the form of an archway in the parish churchyard, with panels on each side, on which are the names of the fallen. …….
