  • Dundee Advertiser Monday 27th June 1921 MURROES CHURCH TRIBUTE TO THE FALLEN An impressive service was held in Murroes Parish Church yesterday,when a memorial to those who fell in the war was unveiled in presence of a large congregation.The memorial is the work of the minster,Rev WA Forbes,and is beautifully executed.The unveiling was performed by Mrs Brand,who lost three sons in the war.An address and dedication prayer were delivered by Rev J Nicoll,formerly minister of the parish.Mr Anderson,organist,played the Dead March in "Saul".The communion table was covered in many beautiful wreaths,kindly gifted by relatives and friends.
