- Description
- Celtic Cross on a base and steps in small garden area in the square in the centre of the village. Two metal (steel?) plaques are bolted into recesses on two sides of the plinth- WW1 on the 6 o'clock face, WW2 on the 3 o'clock face. These plaques look fairly modern- it is conjectured that they replace names cut into the stonework, which had become weathered.
- Inscription
- WW1: IN PROUD AND LOVING MEMORY / OF THE MEN OF THIS PARISH / WHO DIED FOR KING AND COUNTRY / IN THE GREAT WAR 1914 - 1918 / (names) / THEIR NAME LIVETH FOR EVERMORE WW2: 1939 - 1945 / (names) / WE WILL REMEMBER THEM
