- Description
- A sculpted figure of a bomb disposal operator, in protective uniform and helmet, carrying an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) disruptor, walking towards a device. The statue is fixed to a slab of slate, in turn fixed to a plinth of polished black stone with tapering sides. At the rear of the statue is a further piece of OED equipment. There is a commemorative inscription in white lettering below engravings of regimental insignia on the front face; the three other faces are inscribed with an explanation of the memorial and a roll of honour of bomb disposal operators who have died in the course of duty.
