- Description
- Celtic cross set on a shaft, tapering plinth, base and two steps. The dedication and names are on the faces of the plinth. The whole site has a surrounding paved area and wrought iron railings. When this memorial was visited on 11 August 2019, hundreds, possibly thousands of knitted poppies attached to knitting needles had been placed within the natural foliage. Images attached. Two bicycle wheels had also been decorated with knitted foliage.
