- Description
- A large framed pre-printed certificate with hand written names added. The centre of the certificate refers to "The Scrap of Paper", ie the treaty with Belgium. There are a couple of paragraphs of printed text associated with this which have not come out very clearly on the photo, but are not particularly relevant to the Roll of Honour itself. On either side are lists of names in black ink with initial letters in faded red ink and at the foot of the second list is a total, 204. As this list only gives 84 names (from Mu to Wi and some unordered extras at the end) we know we only have one part of a set of these certificates. Some of the names are followed by a small red (A) and a note at the foot explains that this means Aldham Works. The Fallen are not indicated but by comparison with another memorial (http://www.iwm.org.uk/memorials/item/memorial/70241) we know who they are.
