- Description
- Brass Plaque in moulded frame. There is an intricate pattern enamelled in red, with roundels in each corner and halfway up each side. Names are listed in three columns divided by vertical red lines. The dedication is in elaborate lettering with red initial letters. Lettering of the names is in sans serif capitals. Also part of the memorial scheme was the High Altar with with ornamented panels representing the twelve apostles, St. Patrick, St. Cuthbert, St. Aidan and St. Hilda. The panels survive, but the altar is lost, the current Altar being a modern replacement when it was brought forward to the western facing position after the 2nd Vatican council.
