- Description
- Two bronze plaques, 1 for each conflict, below each other, with a flower shelf below and a separate Brass Plaque for the carpeting in the shrine area, which was given after WW2. This plaque is reputed to have been originally attached to a kneeler but is now on a very low shelf behinf the prayer desk in front of the plaques, so is hard to find. There is also a stained glass window and a prayer desk to one of the WW2 casualties-see separate reports.

- AMDG AND IN PERPETUAL MEMORY OF THE MEN OF CARNFORTH AND FROM CARNFORTH HOMES WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES FOR US AND THEIR COUNTRY IN THE GREAT WAR 1914-1919. THE ADJACENT WINDOW IS PLACED IN THIS CHURCH/[names]/1920/[names] FOR GOD KING AND COUNTRY. IN HALLOWED MEMORY OF THOSE WHO MADE THE SUPREME SACRIFICE IN THE SECOND WORLD WAR 1939-1945/[names]/R.I.P. The carpet in this SHRINE was given by WT & AJ CHERRY/in remembrance of the men/who fell in two World Wars/1914-1918 and 1939-1945/”FOR YOUR TOMORROW THEY GAVE THEIR TODAY”
