BRONZE FIGURE OF WINGED VICTORY, ONE HANE RAISED AND HOLDING A WREATH, THE OTHER HOLDING A BATON. FIGURE STANDS ON STONE COLUMN OF FINE-GRAINED GREY GRANITE AND SQUARE BASE. STANDS ON SMALL CIRCULAR PLATFORM IN CENTRE OF ROAD, SURROUNDED BY CHAINS. BRONZE PANELS ON EACH OF FOUR SIDES OF BASE. PANELS INSCRIBED OF FALLEN OF WW1.. MOTTLED GRANITE MONUMENT IN THE FORM OF AN OPEN BOOK HAS BEEN DDED AT BASE, DISPLAYING NAMES OF FALLEN OF WW2.
